We also have a flock of around 100 Texel X sheep
We have farmed this land since 2009 and made the big decision to open the children's farm to the public and we haven’t looked back. We share our farming life with our two children and many of our family and friends pitch in at times too.
We get asked this question a lot! We were here farming, with a young family and were looking for low impact ways to diversify our farm business. We are not really reinventing the wheel, there are farm experiences and farm schools all across the UK. Paris has fond memories of visiting a place called Farm world as a very young child.

During lockdown we found ourselves on the farm alone with the children quite a lot and ended up working on some pretty nice family areas where we could sit and BBQ, started up an allotment and were working on a large planning project for a farm stay (still working on it) and wanted to provide areas for our visitors to enjoy and additional activities to extend the businesses tourist season.
January 2023 we hosted a children's party at sheep shed for our daughter and ended up with our first party booking! We then set to work and decided that this would be the year that we would open to the public and on the 16th of April opened for our first Lambing and Easter events, we added a farm playgroup into the mix in July and haven’t sat down since!!!

Laurent – Laurent is a Jersey boy and the land we farm once formed part of Oak Farm his Grandparents, Farm. Laurent left the island to study for a degree in Agriculture and Land Management at Hartpury College in Gloucestershire. Laurent is responsible for the day to day running of the egg and lamb side of the business together with the farm maintenance and is very passionate about keeping his family farming tradition going on the Island.
Paris – Paris moved to the island in 2011 and met Laurent a couple of weeks later and the rest is history! Originally from North Wales, surprisingly Paris had never been near a sheep before coming to Jersey!
Paris studied in Leeds for a degree in Tourism Marketing & Management and went on to spend many summers working as a hostess in Greece. Paris worked in retail and hospitality for over 15 years before leaving her role as a retail manager to start a family with Laurent.
It is no accident that we ended up with a farm playgroup as Paris volunteered for six years helping to run Les Freres Playgroup in St Johns when our children were smaller and would spend hours creating their end of term party themes
